Very strange. The person created much more work to avoid work.

I would see this sometimes when I was a teacher. Some students would go to incredible lengths with great effort in attempts to "get around" assignments.

Bobby. Really, 9 weeks? I get mail from China in 3 to 4 weeks. Obviously the first item put in a container for overseas and did not leave untill full, then it was the last to be unloaded on this side of the pond. Its buried under something!

Yep, posted from France 14th May. Granted it is the exception to the rule. Last time I bought from this seller it took 2 weeks.

I've certainly read some horror stories in recent times. I find it amusing that letters can sometimes take longer to get delivered in 2019 than they did in 1889. This is definitely the case for domestic letters here in Australia.

Has studying 19th century postal history made me a bit cynical?
