Comores 1975 Withdrawn ?

Michel Nr. 192/193 of Comores has a small addition in my old Michel, saying the stamps were only briefly available on postal counters.

Anyone knows whether they have been withdrawn of they lost their valididty ? The Republic was apparently founded on 6th July, the stamps were issued on 21st July. Seems as of 1st August, a lot of former stamp issues were overprinted with "Etat Comores".

This inlcudes these two stamps. So I am unclear whether they were actively withdrawn for some reason or just lost validity and were being put to re-use with the overprint.

Listed in Yvert as 104A and 104B, but with no further information. Priced at €125 each, unmounted mint or used.

I can imagine that they were issued mistakenly. Since it still says "RF" for "Republique Francaise", I assume. This at the time was wrong already since the independence of the Comores was declared 2 weeks earlier. Therefore they were withdrawn quickly. But this is speculation.

Again any facts much appreciated.

Apparently they were available in the Post office for a few days before being withdrawn.

The latest stamps commissioned by the French administration represent folk dances (Y & T Comoros No. 104A / B). They were delivered on the spot before 6 July.

Because of the events, they would not have been sold to the Agency of the Overseas Postage Stamps of Paris, but nevertheless sold on the spot a few days. FDC envelopes of BEPTOM, prepared in advance with these stamps and with PJ stamp of Moroni dated July 21, 1975 are known. They are much rarer than stamps.

Part of the stock of these stamps present in Moroni was overloaded "COMORIAN STATE" (Y & T Comoros No. 126/127), and the rest destroyed.
