Came across these two and both are quite off on color. French Congo type says should be Scott number 36 and it should be Brown and Orange. New Caledonia type says J30 but color should be Dark Red and Olive Green. Not the first weird thing I have found in this lot. A forger playing games??
Any insight greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

That is not a French Congo stamp, but Middle ("Moyen") Congo, and in correct colors. There is a range of shades.

The New Caledonia stamp is not a 2 franc stamp but a 2 centime stamp (Scott #J19), and is in correct colors.

Sensational album pages perf12. Great examples and fully complete. Steiner pages?

I worked for quite some time to find a nice set of the 1930 Dues, which is one of my favorites from the French Area.
