I noticed a strange marking on the reverse side of some Austrian postage due stamps.....consists of a small circle with a small star and initials O.J.P. inside. Can anyone provide some info on it? I can provide picture, but it may take a while.

It's an owner's mark. A picture will still be appreciated.

If that marking is in one of the corners, then it is a very good chance at being an owner's or expertiser's mark. If in the middle, then probably an accidental transfer from the page it was stuck to. Just my thoughts, and a scan would be very helpful.

Success from endeavor.

Opinion.
Private collector's mark. Collector with an ego, or possession problem.

Not listed in Stamp Expertisers lists, under "O" or Austria.

Size of the vandalism mark is generally too large for a professional,
looks like a plastic handstamp that club members use in circuit books.
