Has anyone seen this expertising mark or is it a fake? I've never seen anything like it before.

Here is a link following the Scott companies prior to Amos owning them. Appears to be a company stamp that sold stamps

Considering the number of suspicious stamps from that country, I consider them all to be either fake or reprinted unless proven wrong.

Helgoland is a tough area to collect. The 1/2 schilling perforated stamp had 8 printings for the original and 7 printings for the reprints. For those who are interested here is a reference:
