This is the opposite of the usual inquiry to transliterate something from Roman alphabet to Cyrillic.
There is a town in Russia whose name is expressed as Vozhiner' in Roman alphabet. Can anyone show me how it is expressed in Cyrillic? My thanks in advnce for any help.

The apostrophe at the end of the romanization is significant and represents a Cyrillic letter. The name should be

Thank you both.
My effort here has been to ID the place of cancel on a Russian stamp that, romanized, seems to be Vozhin'. Haven't found any such place in my sources and wondering if it could be the one now named Vozhiner'.

Could ypu possible post a scan of your cancellation? It would be easier to give a definite reply.

The issue with the Vozhiner above proposed is that it was a small village (with under 500 inhabitants), and definitely could not have a Latinized cds (if any in general).

I considered the possibility that the first character was the Cyrillic character for B, instead of V, but found no place with that name either.

BO#1046;#1048;H#1067; ?
#1041;O#1046;#1048;H#1067; ?

I'm not sure I can give you a definite variant - the first letter is hard to distinguish

I can only say for sure the name contains 6 letters and it's not VOZHINAR

Possible variant are:
#1055;#1054;#1046;#1048;#1053;#1067; (POZHYNY) - the most probable
#1041;#1054;#1046;#1048;#1053;#1067; (BOZHYNY)
#1051;#1054;#1046;#1048;#1053;#1067; (LOZHYNY)

Possibly, it's a settlement in Penzenskaya (Penza) region - the next letters in the cds seem to be PEN (in Cyrillc writin)

The site does not suppor Cyrillic letters so here are the possible names as a picture

Vozhini

Vozh-in-i

Last letter is stressed.

It is not a "soft sign" as previously believed.
