Free to the first one that responds with Scott number. The gift is Great Britain Scott 185 and 186, Mint-Hinged.

All you have to do is correctly identify these two items (with Scott numbers ... if possible.) I think they are from Greece or an associated country, but no luck so far.

If you answer correctly, but don't want them, then I'll just pass them onto the next person in line. Thanks for your help.

I believe they are from Crete, 1905.
Sorry, don't have a Scott Catalogue.

I see a Crete series in 1905, but don't see these items. Maybe they are Revenues ... not listed in Scott?

They were propaganda stamps that were released in 1905 as part of the Theriso Revolution in Crete.

Also, Michel only lists CTOs for used.

There are also reprints (unofficial, essentially) aside from forgeries. The forgeries are described here:

I'll pass on any claim to the stamps offered. They are a nice set.
Thanks for the offer anyway. Cheers.

Rod222, thanks for the previous link. I'll move this topic to ENDED and repost any additional info in that other link. I'll also move the stamps to a new Giveaway topic. Thanks again all.
