If anyone owns any of the Mystic 215mm or longer strips, can you kindly post a picture of the packaging?

Hmmm...
That's some very convenient packaging. I really HATE the way that Showguard packages their stamps. |

Andy, The mounts are in a white, hard paper insert that makes them easy to slide in and out. I tried to scan an image but it doesn't show up well even on a dark background. Dan |

I agree. I find the Showgard and the larger size Scott mount packaging to be clumsy to work with. It's probably what you get used to. I don't know who makes Mystic Mounts but they work well for me. They are a few pennies more expensive if you don't consider the "rewards" program but since I mount all my stamps, I use a lot of mounts. I got my last order for the cost of postage. |

So, I decided to do some math. For shipping to me of ONE pack of 215mmx30mm mounts here is what I have:
Amos Advantage - $9.24 (22 mounts) (42 cents a mount) Global Stamps - $9.94 (22 mounts) (45 cents a mount) Mystic Stamp - $10.70 (25 mounts) (42 cents a mount)
I am lucky enough to have a stamp store very close to my house and he sells Showgard mounts. A 22 pack of 30mmx215mm is $7.95.
I just hate Showgard packaging.
If you order $35 worth of mounts from Global Stamps, shipping is free, so that's a plus in their favor if you're ordering multiple mounts. But I usually only need one size. And I am impatient. I usually want to mount a stamp right away. |

It is easy to meet the $35 minimum for Global. Global ships fast (priority mail) so I always buy 6 or 7 mount packs at a time. I do not need to wait long if I run out.
I noticed that Amos has a lower minimum shipping than they did when I last checked and now free over $65. |

I'm impatient too. It was especially frustrating when I got an odd-sized S/S to mount. Over time, I've accumulated an inventory of mounts. I probably overshot on the number and types of mounts I have on hand, but I don't run out! I live in Northern Michigan, up a tree and in a knot hole, so you learn to plan ahead - especially for the winter months. If the Showgard packaging is so frustrating, maybe you can repackage them. Just a thought - buy some Mystic Mounts and reuse their packaging system? |

Hmmmm. I've used Showguard strips for years and have not had any issues. I will occasionally move remaining strips from an opened package into an envelope and mark the size on the outside. But, like Dan, I have a lot of souvenir sheets to eventually mount and am running low on my supply of those Showguard sizes. So, I'll be looking. |

Andy, Did you get your strip mount storage issues resolved? As the weather cools, I'll be doing more stamping. I'd be happy to send you my Mystic "empties" for reuse. Dan |

I keep my strips in a tray (since expanded to larger gray) and created more pockets using manila folder material that is stiffer and more durable. This setup covers sizes to 52. |

Andy, You're in luck! I just stocked up for my winter stamping. I have about a dozen I can send you. PM me with your address and I'll get them out to you. No cost. It's payback for me using your Mystic hacks. Dan Here's how I keep my most used sizes handy: |
