The P.O. or postal authorities often think they can do as they please. Interesting to see what will happen.

And in the meantime I wonder will the persons who purchased stamps with receipts of purchase, be able to go back and recover funds that were not legally approved to have been charged? And taxes if applicable?

Compare US 1st class postage rates with that of any other first world country. I'd rather get their level of service for more money.

Interesting. Although in the end I'm sure more future postal rate increases will continue to keep the cost of postage rising.

It's really bad when the government controls them but still they are a separate entity. Can't raise prices to cover cost. Can't reduce delivery days, can't really do anything but lose money. Oh, and be forced to front load the pension plan.
