Hi,everybody, I got a Christmas card from Canadian Post. I love these shining and glittering designs very much, but I am not very familiar with all the Christmas traditions. I saw in this thread what they are, but still don't know what they mean. I know they are surely for good omens, but would like to know a little more. Could anybody tell me what all these beautiful things imply in western culture, especially the partridge (food, =turkey?), thanks a lot!

Hi, vayolene, thanks for the info! It's still a little hard for me to understand why a partridge on a pear tree become a good gift, anyway, I know it's auspicious, perhaps that is good enough for me now!
