I compared it with the 2 dozen or so scanned images of the stamps in my collection. Perfs match up, color is a little too red, and the train is a dead-on match. It's real.

Because of the two color printing, the vignette shifts were not uncommon, although most of them are not this dramatically off.

The image appears to be somewhat overexposed. Don't know what NYSTAMPS scanner set up is, or how long they have been using it, but that might be the reason for the washed out appearance.

If you are talking about the overly bright image with no zoom possible and a dark view of the back (in the description), that is normal for that seller. It certainly doesn't show any toning that way, does it?
