Hello, my name is Frank. I'm 46, father of 2 boys and a US Army disabled VET.
I have had a collection of stamps that has seen more millage than I have in the last 6 years.
So here is its story...lol and yes it's a messed up one.
6 years ago I
inherited it from my grandfather upon his death (like any other inheritance) and Ihad no idea what to do with it.
Within a week I received a phone call from Las Vegas Nevada saying that they were interested in helping me out. The place is called Stanford Myers Investment Group Inc.
I send them the entire collection (3 books) and they call me saying hey have NEVER seen this many stamps in one collection. (that was the first red flag)
The first person that takes my account is a fellow named Cameron, he tells me he can sell it with 6 months NOT. I call him approximately 2 a month for updates. He tells me that he has shown the collection to some "interested" buyers but nothing guaranteed. After 2 years of him saying similar statements I tell him to start making offers lowers that what he quotes the collection to be worth... Excuses now become "The guy's American Express card bounces" (2nd red flag) After a few years of phone calls and me being wishful, I let the collection stay with them. I even pay them to have it graded.
I get a phone call from Stanford Meyers early 2017 from a Phil, who has called to inform me that he has taken over my account because Cameron has moved out of state. Ok,...new guy, new promises about selling it...same old BS but only after a year my phone ring again. "Hi my name is Ryan and I have taken over you collection"
Where did Phil go you may ask...He was fired apparently for being too aggressive with potential buyers(3rd red flag) At this point I'm more than angry. I told Ryan he has 1 year to sell it or I want the entire collection sent back...(I get more excuses)
Needless to say I have the collection back now.
After a few hours of scanning it into my computer I now have it ready for people to look at. It is approx 1200 stamps over 180 pages.
My only question for this forum is where and how to do that?
Please help.
