I found this stamp with a clear water mark of German 313. Perf is 14x14, is this a Cinderella of some sort or possibly an error. I have looked in the Scott Catalogue and can't find anything. Looks like cancellation was 1963 or 1965. Thanks for any help you can give as always.

That is a label (with no postal value) attached to a stamp from DDR (Michel # 958 )

Hi Nick,

This is a label from a 1963 East German series of stamps commemorating various sportsmen who had been victims of the concentration camps.

This label is for the long distance runner Walter Bohne. The stamp itself has his portrait.

The corresponding stamp is Mi 958 / SG E681.

Each stamp in the set was accompanied by a label showing the relevant sport.
