I have no idea whether this is a mouse or a wolf. To me it's like looking at the night sky and trying to actually see the constellation Taurus as a bull.

Would greatly appreciate some help.[/size=2]

This is not in either the Samson book or Cole book of fancy cancels. Neither is anywhere complete in any case. Looks like a wolf coming out of a time portal, but that's just me. It could also be the top view of a flying insect (head to left) (and worn), or a flower (badly rendered).

mainframe.....
looks to be a type of GE-R 38 (Geometric/radial)
of New York.
Cancel is so smeared even the date is unreadable.

I think that's close but not quite, and perhaps something very similar. The bottom "petal" on mainframe's stamp is too thin in outline.

Looks like FEB 24 to me in Mainframe's example. There is no year date; it reads 10:30 PM at the bottom.

I thought it might be a geometric but I'm beginning to like the idea of time portal or transporter malfunction on the Enterprise.

If it's an accident it's a good one.
