This March 12, 1984 one franc value (Sc #778) of Liechtenstein is from the set of four stamps showing paintings of famous visitors to the Principality. Stamp depicts Swiss actor and playwright Curt Goetz (1888-1960).

On January 28, 1992 Great Britain issued a ten-stamp, 1st domestic rate (24 p) "Memories" booklet with the stamps forming a photographic, composite design. One of the stamps (SG #1598) from this pane depicts a gold-plated pen nib.

Writing bears are depicted on two the ten values from Great Britain's February 1, 1994 Greetings "Messages" stamps. On one stamp (SG #1801) Baby Bear is composing a letter while Mama Bear and Papa Bear watch, and on another (SG #1809) Paddington Bear is writing as he sits on baggage.

Here is the 44p value (SG #2100) from Great Britain's July 6 1999 Millennium Series "The Citizens' Tale set of four stamps. Stamp depicts generational scenes on the path to the right to education.

On April 3, 2009 Ireland issued a coil roll of 100 (10 different designs) 55c stamps and a single-pane booklet of these 10, 55c stamps in a smaller format to commemorate the 25th anniversary of An Post (Ireland's postal system in its present form). One of the designs, shown here, depicts a girl writing a letter.

Here is the 15 centavos value (Sc #1096) from Nicaragua's December 12, 1978 Christmas set of 5 stamps. This set also commemorates the 150th death anniversary of Spanish painter Francisco Goya (1746-1828), so each of the values shows a detail from a Goya painting. This stamp shows a portion of St. Gregory the Great, Pope (1796-9).

On May 18, 1988 New Zealand issued a $2 "Greetings", one-pane booklet of five different 40c stamps. One of these stamps (SG #1456) is inscribed "Keeping in Touch" and shows a hand holding a quill pen.

Here is the one shilling vale (Hib #C25) from Ireland's June 30, 1944 set of two identically-designed stamps commemorating the tercentenary of the death of Michael O'Cleirigh. O'Cleirigh is shown holding a quill pen.

This April 20, 1995 80 yen stamp (Sc #2461) of Japan commemorates the 30th anniversary of Japanese Overseas Cooperative Volunteer service. A volunteer appears to be helping a woman with paperwork.

From wikipedia, "Japanese Overseas Cooperative Volunteers is a system of dispatching Japanese volunteers overseas operated by Japan International Cooperative Agency (JICA). The program is similar to the U.S. Peace Corps, and includes volunteers in a wide range of fields such as agriculture, forestry, fisheries, education, health and more than 120 technical fields."
