I'll let you decide Robert, too flyspecky for me (The cow looks interested, though)
Stamp 600dpi inset 1200dpi
Stamp has no gum, maybe used.
Stamps have a strip of flourescence down right hand side.

The colours are extraordinary. It is beautiful in a very somber way. The cow is interested or interesting? Ever so slightly sinister. Is there any history behind this actual picture?

Possibly taken from a manuscript image, or a painting of "The Nativity"
The birth of Jesus Christ, born in a "manger " a word for the wooden feeder for farm animals, straw etc.
The Nativity generally features, the 2 adults, the baby, and a cow, donkey or other farm animals, to indicate a lowly birth.
And a bright star, to guide the 3 Kings.

To answer Wert's question, I'd go firmly down the "oddity" route. Well spotted, though.
