I like the scout designs but the others look as though they were designed in a hurry.

SG gives full listing to one set of Mahra stamps of 11 values (Mahra flag) and lists three sets in the appendix:

- Scout Jamboree (4 values)

- President Kennedy (9 values)

- Mexico Olympics (5 values)

When these stamps were produced Mahra was part of the short-lived Protectorate of South Arabia (1963-67).

agreed, I find a lot of these geological proximity issues similar, I have a feeling (unsubstantiated) that there were interests afoot, to secure printing rights around the area 1965 to 1970 ish.
Rockets, Space travel, Paintings etc& etc.
I note some were printed in Turkey, which was surprise, I was thinking perhaps Clive Harold Feigenbaum.
