Look at the perfs in the middle of the block. See how round and clean they are? Genuine perfs of this era NEVER look like that. |

lostandfound -- Block has a certificate from the Philatelic Foundation, Feb. 6, 2017, stating that this "unused OG block of four" stamps "is not Scott 519, the perforations are counterfeit." As revcollector notes, the round perfs are a dead giveaway. You'd think that as much as #519 has been faked, someone would have figured out how to make more authentic-looking perfs! |

Fortunately it is really difficult to make more authentic-looking perfs. The methods used in creating them are very different from original perfs. |
