Scott 462 - Perf Nine At Top

Hello,

I had this stamp listed on ebay as a Scott 462. It is perf 10 at the bottom and someone pointed out to me that it appears to be perf nine at the top and I agree. Does anyone know if this is a rarity or an error stamp? I have removed it from ebay until I find out what I have here.

It is Perf 10. I do not see at all where perf 9 is coming from.

I agree with Rogdcam, the perfs at the top and bottom are the same rate - and both perf 10.

Secondly, and on a tangent, the value of this stamp is substantially less than the fees involved in listing it, selling it, and shipping it. You did yourself a favor by delisting it.

Perf 9 means that there are 9 perfs over 2cm. Not 9 perforation holes on a side. You need a perf gauge to measure them. Also, I don't think any classic US stamps have perf 9 on any side.
