Afghanistan Block Of 4, 1921 Téte Béche Postage Due Cancel

Hello all Stamp Masters,

going through a lot of Stamps I discovered this block of 4.

The interesting thing about this is that the right half of this block is tete-beche while the left side is printed normally.

Can you identify which country, era, and maybe cancellations these are?

Does the right side tete-beche make this an error? Or were they printed like this?

Close, but this is Afghanistan circa 1921.Independance Issue.Nice block & cancel.

Hi,

This is from an Afghanistan issue of 1921-27.

A tête-bête pair is listed as SG 180a, 180ba or 180ca depending on shade.

Unique no. Many recorded in this issue; but it has a nice premium as a block.

Those stamps with that cancel were placed on foreign mail coming into Afghanistan. Prior to them joining the UPU on April 1 ,1928 .It is a postage due for incoming mail .The value of stamps with this cancel are valued the same as as with postal cancels .
