As far as I am aware, this is a full listing of farthing stamps. I have not included stamps which are 'cinderellas' or ones without a farthing on them which some people presume to be one farthing stamps.

Barbados: 1896,1897,1904,1906,1907,1909,1912(Brown and Pale-brown), 1916, 1918(Chestnut brown and Sepia brown),1920,1921,1925.
Bermuda: 1901 overprint on one shilling(Dull grey and Bluish grey),1908,1912(Brown and Pale-brown),1920,1921,1928.
Cayman Islands:1908-09(Brown and Grey-brown),1913,1922,1932,1935,1938-43(Perf 12 1/2 and Perf 13 1/2 x 12 1/2),1950,1953,1962,1966,1968,1969,(No wmk, Multiple St Edward Crown wmk, and 1/4c overprinted on 1/4d)
Fiji: 1916(Brown and Deep-brown),1923
Heligoland: 1875
Leeward Islands: 1909, 1912(Brown and Pale-brown),1922,1931,1938-49(Brown and Deep-brown)
Lesser Antilles: Dominica 1940; Grenada 1937(Brown and Chocolate-brown); Montserrat1922
Malta: 1901(Brown and Red-brown),1905,1910,1914,1919,1921,1922(overprinted Self-Government),1922(Overprinted One Farthing on 2d - this stamp exists with the dot missing on the I of Farthing),19229Brown and Chocolate-brown),1926,1926(overprinted Postage)1928(overprinted Postage and Revenue),1930,1938,1948,1956

The farthing was the smallest denomination in the UK. One quarter of a cent. They were discontinued when I was there. They still had the haypenny though one half cent.

Nothing to do with cents. As set out on page 2, a farthing was a quarter of one penny, and a ha'penny was half of a penny.

Sorry about that, Crows. When I was there the pound was $2.40 to the dollar. Hence a penny was exactly equal to a cent. Life was easier then.

Three of us have written a definitive guide to farthing stamps and their uses. The 120 page book contains a great deal that is very rare as well as what is more familiar. It is not a book for experts, but has been written for philatelists of all levels of experience.

The book is being proof read at present and is expected to go to the printers soon. It is being published by the British West Indies Study Circle. Anyone who is interested in obtaining a copy can get the details from me.

The book on Farthing Stamps has now been published. We are also forming a group to continue the study of Farthing Philately.
