Hi Rodney,
Nope, it is there to help buyer 'watch' something by simply clicking on it. You cannot remove it any more than removing ebay's logo. There is a 'hate the heart' thread on eBays' forum about this topic.

Sorry to be the contrarian, but I actually like it as it makes it easy to "watch" a lot.

One thing I wish is there was another button to allow adding "notes" to the item without going to "My ebay" to add a note.

I like to add comments like "I need this" or a cat value for a specific item buried in a multipage lot, etc.

Since I comb through ebay lots daily looking for buried treasure, I use the note option frequently.

Thanks Don.

It's OK to have differing opinions,
I liked the "watch" option also, but before it was a green "add to my watch list"
Not in your face.

I find it so disturbing, I am going over to Hipstamp.

Could you not open a new folder, and "bookmark" each watched item using the star?
You could add notes to the link address?

Go to your "My ebay" page. Hover your mouse over any item saved to your watchlist and you suddenly see two options: "Delete Item" and "Add Note".

My wish is to be able to "Add Note" from the auction lot page, and not have to go to "My ebay" page for every single lot.

One or two is OK, but when I have added 10 new lots to what I am watching, it is a pain in the posterior and quickly gets old.

It may be possible to dodge out-of-state sales tax on HipStamp.

I'd open another tab, and switch back and forth until I had all the notes I needed. Just sayin.
