What is it that tells you they are forgeries? I have some overprints for Trieste and Fiume. They aren't my main collecting interest so I don't know much about them.
Thank you. I find that like some art galleries I am asking myself do I really want to know if my stamps are forgeries? Perhaps I do, because I want an obvious forgery for my philatelic words nd phrases collection.
Hello noocassel I don't know what site you found, but I remember the adress of the site: "martinas.eu/Download-Fiume-stamps-catalogue.html" You find there articles for forgeries, cat.Sassone specialized for Fiume and the book (for buy) of philatelic expert Ivan Martinas.
One day I'll go through my Fiume and try to sort out forgery from genuine conclusively. Quick glance last year indicated around 30-40% forgery. In the meantime, all in an album with a big disclaimer...
