World War II And World War II Related On Stamps

I started on a new topical collection of World War II on stamps. Not just the stamps that were issued during the war though. I've found some interesting sets from other nations such as Russia. They seem to have quite a few World War II related. One for example is commemorating the battles of Kursk. The stamps for that set all show the different Russian tanks that took part in that battle. Lot's of other interesting sets as well as singles from around the world with this topic. Anyone else collect World War II on stamps? I don't think that there is any sort of list for this topic like there is for Birds on stamps, Butterflies, etc etc. I would be interested in hearing from anyone that does collect stamps with this theme.

Hello, Oldmanriver, You might find some stamps for your topic on the threads for veterans, tanks, planes and ships, etc. There are also plenty of postings on the Barbed Wire thread and the one for Refugees. Depending upon how extensive your search is, there are also numerous stamps referring to famous military persons. I especially like stamps celebrating the end of the war and there are a number of them among the Peace Doves. (And by the way, welcome to the community!)
