I noticed three generations of machine cancels on mail delivery this week. I don't know their proper names, but the three are 1) the pressed on cancel with the circle that includes location and date, 2) the blurry sprayed on cancel that's most common these days, 3) what I assume is also a sprayed on cancel but with much sharper, italized lettering and heavier kill bars.
