Washington Franklin with small partial slogan cancel. I know it's not much but 2nd row ends with MP. Not that many word choices with that ending. I have concentrated on Camp or Stamp. A dash at the end of 1st row, 3rd row ends er and there may be a 4th row with ??? but not long enough to reach the RH side. I have searched my Luft 1963 with no luck.
That was the cancellation I suspected as well, except it doesn't match the illustration if Moe Luft's catalog. Two companies were known to produce this cancellation. Perhaps the other type would line up with this stamp, I'll keep searching for a matching example.
Luff's information is not detailed enough for you. There are 2 line break arrangements of the International machine in Detroit among 3 machines, and one setting of the Universal machines in Chicago and Milwaukee. From a draft copy of "United Stated Slogan Cancellations, 1899-1940". They do not provide illustrations. Yours would be Detroit, International machine #4.
