For online you would need to see the sold prices on ebay, etc. But is the cancellation genuine?

You can use the Michel catalog to determine relative pricing but you should be aware that virtually all used stamps require a certificate. Without a certificate you really need to be an expert on cancellations to determine if it is genuine. And even then you need more knowledge to determine if the cancel is contemporary.

The above is for used. For unused (even MNH) the price is essentially zero.

I don't think there are any experts on German Inflation cancels today in the U.S.or this side of the pond that are under 70 years old .Nobody wants to build that kind of collection with all the reference copies needed .We are rapidly losing all our philatelic experts and ending up with pictures on the internet as the source of reference .

Even if you don't understand German you can use Google translate. Philaseiten- Great threads on the infla issues by collectors.

Infla stamps are interesting when one can identify the regional printing.below:

Here's a block of 6 that would be quite nice, if it were genuine. Bought this one for a few dollars from the Rasdales at Chicagopex some years ago. Each stamp is marked as a cancellation forgery.

stampavalanche,
yes, your sheet is genuine. Stacks of inflation sheets can be bought at auctions on a regular basis. There is a small premium (and very occasionally a large premium) for a top row stamp with the selvage attached and also for the HAN number pair (bottom two stamps with the bottom selvage printed with the Print Job number). However, on your sheet you would need 3 stamps (the "4", the "5" and "6") since the second Print Job number runs across 3 stamps. The second Print Job number is for the overprint, which was done in 1923 (original printed in 1922).
