Are these a good source for someone like me, filling in spaces in a Lighthouse album for modern issues? I am bidding on a couple that currently ae going on ebay for under face.

I note the illustrations on the envelopes appears to show the se-tenant issue as singles, not what would work in most printed alums. Has this been an issue for others?

I've purchased the Quarterly Packs at times to acquire the die cut stamps from booklets and coils, which do not appear anywhere else and they are catalogued at twice normal booklet stamps. As I make my own album pages, I can't comment on the 'issue' you raise.

Not sure why the prior poster put quotes around my 'issue'.

If I'm using a nice album doesn't it make sense to determine if stamp lots like this will fit well into it?

Stamps1962,

The Quarterly Packs will usually have die cut pairs from the self-adhesive booklet issues (assuming that there are 2 different designs in the booklet. of course). Sometimes, when the booklet has 4 different stamps, the packs will have a complete "page" from the booklet. As with everything, there are exceptions.

Similar to BlackJag, I too make my own pages. I find that the commercial printed albums are too restrictive and don't really take people's collecting interests into account. One example being that if you collect both mint and used, you have to buy 2 albums. If you are interested in discussing this, please contact me offline.

As for the quartly packs, I have purchased them all new when issued. Some earlier ones only had the souvenir sheet and not the singles. And some booklets are punched out singly and are not se-tennant because of the irregular configuration in booklets. By far it is the best way to obtain booklet singles or pairs, etc. as they are die cut, rather than cut out by scissor or knife.

Note that The millenium set of sheets is not included in any packs, and if you collect coils in pairs you are out of luck. They only contain singles lately. If you want to message me the year and package (1 to 4) or with months noted, or whether semiannual set 1 or 2 that have singles, booklets or souvenir sheets issued in the time period I will get back to you with information on what is included in each of them.
