I bought the following stamp and the stamp dealer listed it as a forgery... I'm trying to figure out why it's a forgery.

Have you tried looking this up in Album Weeds ? Stampsmarter.com has the set for download

From the scan, it appears that the overprint is on top of the postmark.

vincentvriends...Ran it through one of my software and it looks like it was printed over the cancel..BUT..BUT..Be careful, if the over print was oily, the cancel would not take good to printing (canceling)...Still interesting to me though.

The "2" in 20 is a bit narrow on the top.Does not have that full curved look as in the genuine types.
