Tasmania Didn't Pay Air Mail Postage After October, 1937.

Mail from Tasmania across Bass Strait* was transported by air mail but it was deemed that because there was no option but to transport mail in this fashion, it was unfair to ask Tasmanians to pay an additonal 3d for delivery of their mail.

Strangely, the reverse did not apply, mail sent to Tasmania was subject to additonal air mail charges until 1959, unless surface mail was chosen.

What is meant by "ibid" re Breckon.
Seen it before, remains curious.

It refers to the immediate previous reference.

Ibid. is an abbreviation for the Latin word ibidem, meaning "in the same place", commonly used in an endnote, footnote, bibliography citation, or scholarly reference to refer to the source cited in the preceding note or list item.

In this case, the Ibid, pp40 at the end of Footnote 7 is sending you back to the citation in Footnote 5, which is an article about postal rates by Richard Breckon, on pages 39-40 of that issue of the journal.

I am finding that hard to follow, I'll re read again.
Is it then correct? or should it be op.cit. ?
or, should footnote 5 have "Breckon" included?
