Opinion Please - Canada Small Queen Paper Thickness

So, was wondering about SQ classification of paper thickness. Most of the info online is very subjective. I have a micrometer but don't want to waste my time with using it while categorizing if the effort is fruitless.

I understand that manufacturing standards allowed for significant differences across a sheet, but is there enough of a delta between thin and thick to warrant measurement?

I have seen Mr Hillson's comments that he does not believe the effort is worth it. What do you think?

I QA trained a number of people in a production environment on measuring paper/label thickness. It was rare that any two people would measure the same thickness (same sample, same equipment).

Don hit the nail on the head..
I have played with software with audio recognition, but so far can only identify thick...regular...and thin, but almost impossible with this software to put a caliper reading towards it.

It is interesting how much credence is given to paper thickness in references and online, yet again no standard. Chris

Can't hurt to measure it, just expect some variance. Measure 3-4 places on the stamp and record the mean.
