This might be a dumb question, but, what are some good ways to get used copies of newer forever stamps?

My local stamp club sends me a letter once a month with a forever stamp on it, should I join other clubs around the country that send out newsletters and try to get stamps that way?

Or is there some other obvious way that I'm missing?

Thanks for any help!

Put them on your outgoing Christmas cards and ask recipients to keep the cancelled stamps for you?

If you know of local small businesses which handle their own billing in house, for instance your dentist, or if you have someone mow your lawn, or take care of your pool. If they still get checks in the mail, ask them to save the stamps or better yet the entire cover to avoid tearing or cutting accidentally the stamps.

My dentists office still handles its own billing and a couple weeks ago I was in the waiting room when the postal carrier came in with a tub of mail.

They might be more inclined to do it if it was for a kids stamp club or scouts, but even if you just get one source, you would get dozens of stamps.

Also, ask your relatives far and wide. One of them might be in a situation where they can gather used stamps from an office.

Best of luck.

I have tried listing various lots of US used stamps on eBay and never had any takers, either within the UK or further afield. Just sorting another large accumulation (dated up to 2016) as I type, and will probably be listing what I don't want to keep next week.
Will post an image here first when done, in case folk are interested.
Regards
DavidR

The best way is to find organization who gets lots of bills, and see if they will save envelopes for you. I have gotten lots of rejections, but a few did say yes. It is amazing what comes through on some of that mail. This pair was used to pay taxes recently:

Probably because few collectors have enough examples of the most recent issues to do trades.

I'm happy to trade used US. I'm mostly looking for filling holes from the last few years.

I am always looking for recent used US to trade. I get mine from a formerly local dentist office, my 81 yr old Mom, and my 80+ Aunt. Once the OP gets to 50 posts, I hope he contacts me.

I was looking at an accumulation a solicitor (=lawyer) had got over the Last few decades yestrday he had pounds and pounds of stamps and he had not kept the common ordinary letter rate stamps. about ten years ago I was working in the headquarters of a big bank and asked where the mail room was. They hadn't got onr but I eventually tracked down the person who received all the mail. They only got about 20 stamped letters a day, those were already taken by another collector employee.
As other people say small businesses who deal with individuals are probably best, from what I saw a legal office might yeild rich pickings. Do not tell them what sort of stamp you want take everything, to make it easy and painless for the donor to save them and put them aside.
