After reading a very authoritative site on the stamps of Jammu & Kashmir : https://www.kashmirstamps.com/index.html I would appreciate it if others could check my assessment of these 5 stamps.

1. The first one I tentatively identified as Scott #1, cut round.
2. The second one I believe is a forgery of # 39, based on the lovely, but totally inappropriate cancellation.
3. I believe the third one is Scott # 45. Is it genuine?
4. This is Scott # 52. I have an APS Expert Committee Report for this one.
5. I believe this is Scott # 56, but I am not sure the color is correct. Am I wrong? Is this one a forgery?

I know that forgeries and reprints of these stamps abound. I would appreciate your opinions on my assessment of this group.
Thanks.

Some decent stamps there.

The kashmirstamps.com is an outstanding resource.

Sorry, I can't do Scott numbers, but these are:

1. SG 1 half anna grey-black watercolour used with Srinagar brick-red seal.

2. Forgery as you stated.

3. SG 45, 1 anna slate-blue oil colour if on European laid paper, SG 34 if on native paper.

4. SG 41 half anna black oil colour if on European laid, SG 29 if on native paper.

5. SG 18 1 anna bright blue watercolour. Definitely genuine.

Thanks again, Peter, for a very helpful response! It looks like I had identified all but the last one correctly. I am glad to hear that the last one is genuine.
All of them are on laid paper, even the forgery. I know that the fourth one (the one with the APS certificate), is on White, European laid paper. The first, third and fifth stamps are on a grayish laid paper which I presume is the native laid paper. The paper of the second stamp, the forgery, looks like a blotchy, yellowish laid paper.

Thank you again, you have been most helpful!
