Don, in regards to your comment about donations to support the Stampsmarter website I've done just that because of your disclosure that there's been one new donation so far this year. And it appears that donation was rescinded. I'm guessing that many others on SCF also donate to Stampsmarter, but for those who do not please consider it. We need folks like Don who are willing to do the heavy lifting. Dave

Thank you very much Dave. All Stamp Smarter donations go directly into an account which pays for the monthly hosting fees. It is through generosity like yours which allows Stamp Smarter to remain feely available for everyone in the hobby.

And of course this community is the same, Bobby has mentioned several times that SCF rides the financial shirt tails of our sister Coin Forum. If everyone just donated five bucks every few months it would ensure that this great resource stays liable.

I am not privy to the SCF donation rate (Bobby can speak to this) but the donation rate Stamp Smarter is less than <1% of the folks who use it.

The PF cert says reperforated at right. It looks reperforated at top, left,and right to me.

I am new to stamps though so could someone comment on what I see as of concern as being founded or unfounded?

1. Squared off perforations
2. V shaped perforations
3. Perforations of different depths, lacking uniformity
4. Nonlinear angle of perforations

I see examples of each in the original post. Are these valid things to look for? If not, what? Anything else to add and help a noob out?

Bill has responded to comments on SCF in the past. Maybe it's time for him to explain his practices with regard to multiple certs on material he offers.

As ris has pointed out, Bill is quite knowledgeable. If he were to include all the certs available for an item I am interested in, along with his own opinion (if it differs from either or both certs), I'd be inclined to take a look and maybe a chance.
