Mutilated Postal Stationery pieces.
Overprinted for use in the Convention State of Gwalior.
You will need a collector that has reference material for Indian Stationery to Identify.
Sometimes the entire cover is needed to accurately identify.

Searching this forum under "Gwalior" may assist.

Not seen your Postmark style before (Sipri-Gwalior)
Some have the serpent engraved in the CDS (Circular Date Stamp)

Legend has it, the founder of Gwalior,whilst a baby, was shaded
by the burning rays of the hot sun, by the outstretched coils of the
two Cobras.

My example GWALIOR -STATE Pmk 27th April 1890
(location indecipherable) Maybe LASURIA (Madhya Pradesh)

Yes, half anna postal stationery envelope cutouts.

Issued with this Gwalior overprint in 1885.

The postmark is Sipri (more commonly known as Shivpuri).

Rod - I think yours is Lashkar

thank you Rod and Peter. Something to go on - interesting about being shaded by the cobra.

Peter, how do you discern the 1885 date? Can you make it out? Or because of the color , etc? Curious to know.

The date of 1885 for this colour and style of overprint is as listed in this book:
