Stampless Letter Per Rms Persia (Fairly Decent Scans?)

Further into my ship letters I have this one in my possession after the fatal disappearance of the RMS europa business.. It will turn up when least expected?! In the meantime this piece is now pride of place.

Persia was a British passenger liner operated by the Cunard Line that won the Blue Riband in 1856 for the fastest westbound transatlantic voyage. She was the first Atlantic record breaker constructed of iron and was the largest ship in the world at the time of her launch.






I am yet to open aforementioned letter..

A couple interesting things I see;The letter was posted in the evening(double ring cancel) with the standard 19c handstamp postage; meaning it was British packet mail(on a British ship).It is 1856 ?

The last scan clearly shows "57" at the very end.

The Hubbard/Winter book "North Atlantic Mail Sailings, 1840-75" lists the Persia departing Liverpool on Sep 5 and arriving in New York Sep 15, 1857.

Yes it's aboard the RMS persia Liverpool? to philadelphia. Currently had it scanned but am having trouble reading it. It unfolds to A3 size on very thin tissue paper.. The heavy thick penmanship has made it seem a little blurry(or double sided) but will endeavour to find a filter that helps!
