I am showing two items here from Argentina. The first is on card and is Scott #63. The second is on a slightly larger piece showing Scott #69 but it is on a paper, rather than card, which is quite different from the paper that the stamp is on. It is also produced differently and has a slightly different colour. With each of these, I have added a scan of the actual stamp from my collection. I know little to nothing about proofs or colour trials and would like to know if these items are, indeed, proofs, or were they something produced entirely for the collecting community of the time.
