Can anyone tell me whether the surcharge on this Early Bahamas Stamp is genuine or a forgery? Also it appears to have initials in brown pen, plus a cancellation. Scott's has it listed as # 26 from 1883.

Inexplicably, the stamp pictured in my 2016 Scott's Classic Specialized Catalog is missing the "R" in "FOUR PENCE". Anyone know more about this stamp?

This stamp was used for revenue purposes.

Thanks, Perf12. I have never seen a British Colonial stamp with both pen (revenue) and postal cancellations.
