Pipex - Current Status

PIPEX website has this statement on page one:

"There are no plans to postpone or cancel PIPEX 2020 at this time. We will continue to monitor developments regarding the Corona virus, and will work with the venue hotel and local health authorities to address the health and safety of our attendees – which is our first priority. We will advise all participants as soon as possible of any changes."

Not sure what to think. I have no plans now to attend, even if I lived in the area. Just too dangerous for attendees with underlying issues. Probably they cannot delay or reschedule. I hope it works out.

It is 7.5 weeks away.

Yes I know it's seven weeks away. The College World Series here in Omaha was cancelled last week and it's in June. This is not all going to go away that soon.

The PIPEX show was problematic from the time of the first outbreak in the Pacific Northwest. It's better to err on the side of caution.

1) Nobody knows what a timeline will look like
2) Apparently PIPEX used the qualifier "at this time" while they were making an informed decision
