I have a few foreign stamps that have eluded identification efforts. I believe the interpretation of the Cyrillic text is "Belarus" but can't find anything in Scott's for this: This one appears to be Spanish Andorra but, again can't seem to find in the catalog (local airpost?): Last one looks to be a Trieste overprint semi-postal. Drawing a blank with a catalog country/no.

The third stamp is Trieste Zone B , they would be under Venezia Giulia. They are classified as provisional issues .

Funny enough, Andorra has never had an airport. The nearest is Barcelona. About 3 hours driving. Very far for European sta dards! |

The Belarus stamp is bogus.
There's an image of it at the end of the Russian listing in Michel where it is described as one of several "private Machwerke". |

Cheers Nigel, I have made a new folder, so named, albeit with tildas, not forward slashes. Yugoslav stamps continue to flummox me.

Thanks! Michel also has it listed under Yugoslavia, Istria and the Slovenian coastal territory.
The "Trieste" led me astray, but the star image should have tipped me off. |

Hi Rod,
No, Michel has nothing else to say but I found a reference to Francysk Skaryna:
"Francysk Skaryna (died 1552), first doctor of medicine in Belarus, printer and publisher"
