After many hours of scanning and digitizing, the La Posta back issue project is finally complete. This is a treasure and gift for the hobby made possible by the generosity of the current owner, Pete Martin. Even if you are not currently a US postal history fan, these back issues are a great read during a time when many folks are stuck at home.
There are now 250+ back issues, a complete run ranging from the first issue in January 1969 through December 2014, now freely available to folks interested in US postal history. Whew, started about 5 months ago; took a while to round up all the back issues, get them all scanned, get them all OCRed, get everything uploaded and the webpages done.
http://lapostapub.com/BackIssuesDL.htmlFor the link above, there is also an online index which takes you to the PDFs online but note that the link may take you to the second of third page of the article instead of the first (I have more work to do on this feature.)
For anyone who might not want to download the issue individually, La Posta will be offering these archived on a USB drive complete with a full PDF index. Simply copy the entire folder to your computer and have at your fingertips a complete 50 year run with an index which searches across every La Posta back issue in seconds.
