I can't decide wether it is the 1875 blackish grey
1877 greenish olive or 1877 Dark olive version of the stamp that I have in my collection. Can someone help med out?

This stamp comes in 6 different tones, per the Michel catalog. It could be 44a, b, c or ca. Your stamp cannot be 44ba or 44d as they were not issued until 1888. Here is a website that you may find helpful:

Hi Tryllefroe,

Germania did a great job. I like your post Germania since I collect mainly Germany. Just adding that these stamps are very sensitive to cleaning. Do not scrub them too much the ink will run. It is their security feature.

Your stamp has little features on it so do not discard this one too quickly. Here an image from my own stamps. (left 36a PfennigE and 38a PfennigE on the right) They are from the same plate position. They can not be mistaken in color.
