Hello, I received this stamp in a large set of WW stamps that I received from a reputable seller. This one doesn't appear to have any country markers. Any ideas? It is fake or not a postage stamps?

Mais oui. Just spent the evening in lockdown watching the wonderful Jean Gabin in Maigret Tend un Piège.

Great character Maigret.(he smokes a pipe like I do)He can be found on Belgian ,French,San Marino stamps;maybe others..
You had Jean Gabin,Jean Richard,Bruno Cremer that played the detective.
I prefer Bruno Cremer in the French TV series.
These were détectives that never pulled out a gun;kind of like Columbo.
(Although in one Columbo episode at the series end: he did have a gun in his hand).
The character of Maigret was invented by the author Georges Simenon.
Maigret was published from 1931-1972...

and lets not forget Rowan Atkinson who also interpreted Maigert in a very somber way.I found that he did a great job !
