Recently purchased a group of Norwegian seamen's charity labels and decided to share them here, with the hope that someone will have more information on them.
Here is the first group, from the
The Norwegian Seamen's Church, founded in 1864 and still in existence, although I don't know if they are still issuing these labels. Labels up to 2009 are listed in the
AFA Julemćrker Norden catalog.

The following three labels seem to be from the
Scandinavian Association for Seaman's Homes in Foriegn Ports, founded in 1901 by shipowners and naval officers to provide seaman's homes in foreign ports, to promote seamen's welfare and to prevent seamen from deserting from the merchant fleet. It seems to have ceased operations in 1987. I have not found any catalog that lists these labels.

I am pretty sure that these are specifically Norwegian labels, as the words are using Norwegian spelling, as opposed to Danish spelling on the following label, also from this same group:

This ship on this label is the Danish training ship
Danmark, launched in 1932 and still in use.
Finally, in the same group was this Danish label, origin unknown to me:

Any additional information on these labels would be appreciated.
