Berlin Brandenburg 30 PF, Plate A, B, C Or D?

I found the flaw in field 4 on sales sites.It is a constant flaw.

Thank you cupram for the info on the number 4 5pfg stamp.

A few to look into, a 5pfg, broken line just above the left 5.





The 6 pfg field 100 with the third nail on the shovel.

I have too the flaw on 6pf stamp (see my previous post for 6pf sheet)
I will search for 5pf.

Was able to cheaply buy A 5 pfg Berlin sheet 1A. Normal perforatiion.

I can confirm the plate flaw listed by Cupram(on page 2) under position 62 and reconfirm position 95. However position 43 and 57 on my sheet have no flaw, I assume these must have developed later in the printing process.

I forgot to come back with new information.
I was not able to buy Ralf Krenz's specialized catalog but I found his site "plattenfehler-shop.de" where there are many more constant errors compared to Michel.
For 5pf there are almost 100.
Comparing with what you find on your sheet you can determine what type of plate you have: A, B, C or D.
Depending on the paper and gum, there can be 3 stamp variants.

A visual aid for finding the retouche of the plateflaw 1XIV(Michel), Droplet under 5.

Found in A,C and D type sheets. It was retouched on the B type sheets.

First picture shows the plateflaw as found on a A,C or D sheet

Second and third picture show the retouche, it has become a slight dent in the frame.

Please note, this is a retouche no longer a plate flaw.

52,58,60,62,63,74,90,91,95 and 99)
Only in plate B:
field 90 = break in O from POST
field74 = color dot in O from POST
field62 = color dot in P from POST
