..and I need your help. to provide scans at a better resolution.
Clear and precise images are best , otherwise we are left squinting at lazily produced scans. Help us to help you.
I can confirm the Kartal.

Your "Halep" example.
This appears a very strange stamp.
Sc# 291 Type A10 1915 surcharge with a Gibbons type 53, 6 pointed star split.
This may be a rarity in itself.
Shame it is a weak scan.

The Halep / Aleppo postmark appears to be on Syrian Arab Government SG K21 / Scott #4.

I agree with Rod, it's very odd to see the star and crescent overprint struck like this.

It look as though maybe a second sheet or another piece of paper was lying on top of this one to mask off the right hand side.

Thanks Nigel, I thought it might be, from the original scan,
nice to have this confirmed.

I would be sending the stamp Image to ISFILA,
that really is an EFO (Error Freak or Oddity)

Isfila lists with a premium, the Opts splits, but this example is an extraordinary one.
I'll look through ISFILA catalogue on the morrow.

Hi dojiryu,

By any chance, is the Halep / Aleppo stamp creased at the right side?

I'm wondering if the stamp was folded over before the star and crescent overprint was applied.
