I'm not sure if that is Scarborough as part of the cancel.and I can't find any Scarborough cancels with any word on front. Probably need to put in my discard box.

Rod222 has given you the correct cancel..The only thing I can add is as Rodd222 posted "Ontario Ia" on his cancel, could be the start of your cancel..Being possibly " Ontario IA Scarborough"...Maybe.

Rod222 and Robert, thank-you for your replies.
Normally, cancels are reasonably well balanced, with the wording around the circle distributed evenly on both sides from the center ( above date etc. So, Robert, I believe that rules out it being Ontario 1A.

My guess is that ONT is at the bottom of the cancel. It appears that there is an eight-letter word ending in IA (or IR) before SCARBOROUGH. Maybe this is the name of a postal facility or process.

Dairypac

One last stab at it.
Look at the modified version of your cancel.
Looks like it starts with "Y" and a "O".

Here is my thoughts...Seems to be "8" digits before we get to Scarborough...If it does start with "YO" then it may be...
.....York East Scarborough....

Nicely done Robert.
wiki
In 1998, East York, along with North York, York, Scarborough, Etobicoke and Old Toronto, were amalgamated into the new "megacity" of Toronto. East York's last mayor was Michael Prue who went on to become city councillor for East York, and then a Member of Provincial Parliament for Beaches—East York in 2001. Between 2002 and 2005, the East York Civic Centre's "True Davidson Council Chamber" was used to hold the Toronto Computer Leasing Inquiry/Toronto External Contracts Inquiry.
