txstamp -- appreciate the compliment on the #26's -- Here are a few examples of Scott #25A -- one copy from each of the 3 plates that produced them. The first one is 33R2L, the second one is 17R3, and the third one is 98L5L

Here are #26 and #20 on cover. My notes say the 1-cent is from plate 12, and it is unplated. Any further details anyone could provide would be appreciated. I can provide a larger scan if needed.

I agree that your 1c stamp is definitely Plate 12, Ty II, #20.

That's such a neat dramatic crack.

I don't recall, and haven't really looked - are there any left sheet margin copies, which show more?

I've never see an image of 71L18 with margin selvedge. I just did an image search, and didn't find one.

I used to own the crack extension (72L18), which I sold to one of the big 3-cent perforated collectors.
