I have just acquired large assortment of stamps, but having trouble identifying these five stamps. I'm think that they may be stamps from a Chinese province, but cannot tell which ones. The last four seem to come from the same province. Any ideas? Scott's numbers would be great, too.
Thanks!

Thanks, vayolene! That helps me a great deal. I was able to locate the 4th one, also, from your insight. The last one I believe is also Taiwan, but is yet to be determined.

For those of us who don't read Chinese, identifying these provincial overprints can be a challenge. You have to have a catalogue that displays accurate, readable facsimiles. (I'm still using Scott for China.) I then go page by page till I can match the characters on the stamp to a facsimile. And the match must be exact. Be sure to include the so-called Liberation Areas of the mid- to late-1940s. Sometimes I have to check also the early stamps of both the ROC and the People's Republic. The whole task becomes easier with repetition, i.e., after you've identified a several hundred. Over time you become familiar with the distinct characters that identify the different provinces.

Here are a couple of links that you might find helpful:

PS larger, clearer scans would help forum members help you with these.
