Hi all. Is it just me or is the month of this cancel stamped OUT instead of OCT? I thought it could possibly be smeared, but the boldness of everything else with the cancel compared to the weakness at the top makes me second guess myself. So, I ask...... Is the month stamped in the cancel OCT or OUT? I thank you in advance.
I agree with Petert4522 -- black Philadelphia, PA OCT 18 cds cancel -- year dated 186? (probable 1868 but hard to say for sure ?). Definitely a C in the OCT -- although a bit smeared. Regards // ioagoa
